# TeamBrain

> Bring your team's shared work beside your personal local workspace.

TeamBrain adds a shared workspace to Claude-Mem. Open **TeamBrain** beside
**My Work** in the local viewer to see the work your teammates chose to share,
with member and project attribution and linked findings about overlapping work.

My Work remains free and local. Opening the team view does not turn on sharing,
change the memory provider, or merge shared work into your private review queue.

## Set up or join a team

Choose **Set up TeamBrain** to see the current team plan and checkout at
[cmem.ai/teambrain/start](https://cmem.ai/teambrain/start). Team owners can invite
people from the cloud workspace.

With an invitation, run:

```bash theme={null}
npx claude-mem teambrain join '<invite-link>'
```

Sign in, approve the device, and choose which projects to share. The command
keeps your observer and provider settings. It does not switch an install that
already syncs as a different account.

Return to the local viewer, choose **TeamBrain**, and refresh the connection.
The membership summary shows your team and current sharing choice. An empty
project selection means no projects; it is different from sharing all projects.

## Understand the shared board

The team view shows open shared work lists and their tasks. These are labeled
**shared work** because a task or list is not necessarily a captured human
request. It keeps that distinction from My Work's original-request cards.

* See who shared a list and which project it belongs to.
* Open a card for recorded task state, next steps and source-linked findings.
* Filter by project or search the currently loaded shared work.
* Apply incoming updates when ready; reading an open card preserves your place.

The local panel does not assign work, send replies, or mark a teammate's task
checked. Continue in the source conversation or open **Sharing settings** for
the full cloud workspace, invitations and billing.

## Keep control of sharing

Each member controls broadcasting and project scope. My Work's local human
review notes are not part of the shared board. The local UI uses the sync
connection already approved for the install; it does not receive account tokens
in the browser or forward browser cookies to the cloud.

To inspect or change sharing from the terminal:

```bash theme={null}
npx claude-mem teambrain status
npx claude-mem teambrain share
```

If the team connection is interrupted, the panel labels the last received
board. If membership or access is refused, it clears that shared board. Your
personal local workspace remains available either way.
